    Experience <👨🏽‍💻>

    International Mobility USA (Internship)

From April 2024 to May 2024 at Thuasne USA, Kansas City, USA
    Thuasne logo

During my internship in the United States, I had the opportunity to discover the current IT architecture of Thuasne USA and the challenges and obstacles related to migrating to a common domain when small companies are acquired by larger ones.

During my stay, I had the opportunity to train a colleague on Azure & IoT technologies. I also worked with the company's teams on a potential project to equip shoes with IoT sensors and transmit data to the Cloud Azure.

Additionally, I worked on a project to digitalize the production line, aiming to replace paper documents with electronic documents accessible via SharePoint. I designed and implemented an Azure architecture that allows for dynamic QR codes. This was essential because orders and other printed documents change daily. Since the nature of a QR code is immutable, it had to be made dynamic.

Finally, I was able to provide a detailed documentation on this work, its functioning, and how to deploy it. I was able to follow and work with my colleague, Solution Architect, and I saw the challenges related to communication with colleagues. It is essential to understand the needs of the company, follow the processes, and manage resistances to change. I understood that digitalization can be a way to reduce costs and improve efficiency, but it is also important to take into account the needs and preferences of employees.

Thus, this internship allowed me to develop my skills in technology, communication (especially in English), and collaboration, and I returned with an enriching experience and reinforced skills.

    Cloud Engineer (Apprenticeship)

From September 2021 to September 2024 at Thuasne, Lyon, France
    Thuasne logo

During my apprenticeship at Thuasne, I had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, many of which were related to IoT (Internet of Things) and heavily reliant on cloud technologies. For application deployment on Azure, I learnt and used Kubernetes and Docker, ensuring efficient and scalable solutions. I also undertook pure development tasks, taking an existing application and migrating it to the latest versions of Vue and Loopback. My work spanned across various programming languages, including Python, Java, PHP, and JavaScript, showcasing my adaptability and versatility in tackling diverse technology stacks.

I also worked on a project to develop an application using FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), which involved creating a REST API to manage patient data. The whole project idea was to create an end-to-end platform where IoT devices datas are ingested and integreted to the patient workflow. Making the data visible on the cloud by doctors and patients themselves. This project was particularly challenging, as it required me to learn a lot including FHIR, health data reglementations, cloud good practices, and the ability to deliver a high-quality code and architecture.

    Software Developer (Internship)

From April 2021 to July 2021 at Ciril Group, Lyon, France
    Ciril Group logo

I completed an internship at Ciril Group where I developed an application using Scrapy in Python. This application was designed to automatically retrieve addresses of retail outlets from the internet. It had a predefined list of retail chains and would navigate to each chain's website to extract all store addresses. Subsequently, the addresses were processed, cleaned, and stored for future use and mapping. This experience enhanced my proficiency in bweb scraping and data processing, as well as my ability to create practical solutions for real-world business needs.

    Education <👨🏽‍🎓>

    Engineering Degree in Computer Science

From September 2021 to September 2024 at Polytech Lyon, France
    Polytech Lyon logo

During my tenure at Polytech Lyon, I was exposed to a diverse and rigorous curriculum covering a broad range of subjects, each contributing to my comprehensive understanding of computer science and engineering.

In the field of data science, I delved into advanced topics such as Big Data, with a particular emphasis on machine learning techniques. Through hands-on projects and theoretical study, I gained proficiency in analyzing large datasets and deriving meaningful insights to inform decision-making processes.

I had courses about Information Systems which provided me with valuable insights into the design and management of complex information systems in urban environments. This involved understanding the integration of various technologies and data sources to support urban planning and development initiatives.

In the realm of project management, I acquired essential skills and techniques for effectively planning, executing, and monitoring projects from conception to completion. This included aspects such as project planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

Courses in Algorithmics, Graph Theory, and Discrete Optimization equipped me with a diverse toolkit of problem-solving techniques. From developing efficient algorithms to modeling and solving complex optimization problems, these courses enhanced my analytical and critical thinking skills. Notably, I also received specialized training in linear optimization techniques, enabling me to solve complex problems by finding good solutions without necessarily finding the optimal solution, utilizing heuristics.

Throughout my studies, I actively engaged in group projects, where I had the opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills to real-world scenarios. These projects often focused on emerging technologies such as mobile and web development, allowing me to gain practical experience in designing and implementing software solutions to address specific needs and challenges.

Technical University Degree (DUT) in Computer Science

From September 2019 to September 2021 at IUT Lyon 1, France
    IUT Lyon 1 logo

I began my academic journey in computer science at Lyon 1, where I pursued an intensive program focused on the fundamentals of computer science.

During my studies at the IUT, I gained a solid understanding of programming concepts, databases, computer networks, and other key areas of computer science, but not only. Indeed, I also had courses about finances, law and project management

Moreover, I had the opportunity to participate in practical projects that allowed me to apply my theoretical knowledge to real-world situations, thereby strengthening my technical skills and practical experience.
